It seems to happen overnight, but it isn&#8217;t quite that quick. If we&#8217;re lucky we won&#8217;t have any trees fall across the road and I won&#8217;t have to use the chainsaw again until next winter when I cut firewood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" src=\"http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/spring_road.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-320\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/spring_road.jpg 450w, http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/spring_road-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the previous post there&#8217;s a photo of the rocks road. Our yard is mostly moss because we&#8217;re heavily shaded when the trees leaf out. This year there was a large area to the north of the house where Indian Pipe began to emerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" src=\"http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/indianpipes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-322\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/indianpipes.jpg 450w, http:\/\/sootypaws.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/indianpipes-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Indian Pipes are fragile little plants that have no chlorophyll.
