Tools of the Trade

This is the first plate in Joseph Moxon's Mechanick Exercises or the Doctrine of Handy-Works. It is taken from a reprint of the third edition originally published in 1703.

Figure 1 at the top is the forge and bellows, figure 2 is the anvil. Figure 4 to the left of the anvil are tongs and hammers, figure 5, rest below the anvil. Figure 6 is the vise.
