California
The California UIC class II program was recently reviewed by the EPA. The final report, the executive summary, and the EPA's letter to the state agency about necessary changes.
Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania does not have primacy and a recent permit for a UIC class II well has caused a large amount of controversy. The permit for Zelman #1 well. The Region 3 response to the 2600 comments received. The EPA's Environmental Appeals Board Remand (10 June 2014) because of factual errors in the Region's response. There are special casing and cementing regulations in 40CFR147 for Pennsylvania.
