Gas Well Study

We began examining the oil and gas issue when an operator planned to drill a natural gas well on our property in 2008. Initially we looked at local gas wells in our area. This examination of well sites led to a deeper study of problems we were noticing at some sites. This examination included quantitative analysis of typical oil and gas contamination of soil and water. We took this closer examination to more sites in our area. By the end of 2013 we had looked at 50 natural gas well sites in Putnam, Kanawha and Uphsur counties. We've continued looking at sites in our area, but our focus shifted to the Underground Injection Control program in West Virginia for Class IID wells used for underground disposal of oil and gas liquid waste.
