The Shop was built during a weeks summer vacation, with extra work being done during weekends later on to put on the roof and siding. We lived 200 miles away from the buildings we were working on so planning was important so that we could get as much done as possible each visit.

Molly is preparing the walls with nailers to hold the siding. You can see the wall plate just above her head.
The south door has been hung. Four large doors open on two bays facing east. Those were hung the following year.
This is one of Georges workbenches. This one was made to store in the Shack so we could use it when we visited. The top lifts off the legs and both parts of the bench are fairly manageable to move about.

This picture shows the Shop in front with the Shack in the background. Before the siding went up there were forest fires in the area. A neighbor used a bulldozer to clear out the brush and saplings around the two buildings and did a wonderful job of leaving the trees.
