Our cat family changes over time. These are photos taken the between 2009 and 2014 showing the six cats who lived with us then.

Everything starts with Bobo. Bobo was brought up by Viva who was brought up by Socks.
This photo shows Mister Bobo sleeping on Molly's lap in 2009. Viva had died earlier that year and Bobo was terribly lonely.

In May 2009 Kitty Boy appeared. He hid out in our yard until we were able to entice him inside. Bobo already had made friends and convinced Kitty Boy we were okay.
Kitty Boy came to us injured -- someone had shot him, shattering the bone in his leg. The bullet's exit wound was right by his chest.
Kitty Boy lost his leg and gained a home.

Kitty Boy and Bobo were best of friends. Bobo made sure Kitty Boy knew the rules and procedures. Such as first thing in the moring patrolling the yard.
Kitty Boy also became comfortable with his duties as forge cat. Here he's taking a nap on the vise bench while George works in the shop.

The kittens appeared, as if by magic, under the north overhang of the addition in May 2010. We took in Grey and Blondie who had been abandoned by their mom. Kitty Boy took an active hand in helping raise them. Bobo didn't want to have much to do with the kids until they got older.

Mama Cat and Peach Blossom, the two feral cats living in the yard, were captured in early autumn 2010. Peach Blossom is Grey and Blondie's sister.
The first couple of days were fraught for the two feral cats. Both Bobo and Kitty Boy helped keep things calm.

Mama Cat at first didn't want anything to do with us. Over time, and after gaining trust, she learned she likes being stroked. And she certainly likes a warm house and regular meals.
We've had Mama Cat spayed and she's able to go outside with Kitty Boy.

Peach Blossom is still more feral than not, though that's changing every day. Here she is sitting on one of the child's chairs hanging from a beam in our house. She's comfortable with heights.

This is Peach Blossom and Grey at 5 months. Grey kept on growing, Peach Blossom is the smallest cat in our household.

Here's a photo of Grey at almost a year old. He's a large, active, friendly cat.

And here's large, active (sometimes), and friendly Blondie who is resting on the bed in the loft.
Blondie is more retiring and shy; Grey is more outgoing. Though both hide (along with Peach Blossom) when we have visitors.

This is storm trying out beam walking. She doesn't have the finesse that Peach Blossom has and after several falls has given up. In this photo she's getting ready to make a leap across several feet from the beam to the loft.
Storm came to us in 2011, shortly before Bobo died. She had formerly lived in Daria's and Jeannene's household.
