Well drilled in 2007
Producing formation(s): Berea Sandstone, Lower Huron and Rhinestreet Shales
Geographic location: latitude 38.488527, longitude -81.775299

Visited first in 2008

This is part of a cluster of wells at the southern end of the long main well access road. This is the last, second after 47-079-01155.

The road for this well is in bad shape. The site had poor vegetation on the pad and there is no containment dike for the tank. We did not take photographs at this site because of time.

An API number is required by the state to be displayed at the well. There was no tag on the well or secondary containment for the tank.

Visited again in 2010

The site looked essentially the same as it did in 2008 except that there was now secondary containment for the storage tank and rusted metal at the site had been painted.

The pad was almost bare of vegetation. The secondary containment for the tank is visible in this photo.

People visit these well sites and drink and party. There were a number of broken and unbroken beer and spirits bottles at the wellhead.

It had been raining all day when we visited the site and it was possible to see a small leak of natural gas bubbling at the casing head.
