This is a recent conversion to injection in Braxton county. The well was thought to be the cause of earthquakes in the area after it began operating. The Office of Oil and Gas required smaller disposal volumes (under 15,000 barrels of liquid waste a month) in order to prevent further earthquakes. The well was plugged in 2014.

Well drilled in 2007. Converted for injection in 2008 or 2009. Plugged in 2014.

Major issue

  • Well was located near a fault and was associated with a number of earthquakes in the area.
